WILLIAMSON
VALLEY ROAD
TRAFFIC STUDY
Yavapai County and their design engineer, Kimley-Horn, are working on a traffic study for a section of Williamson Valley Road, from Pioneer Parkway to Outer Loop Road. This traffic study will assess the current traffic conditions, review previous analysis and develop a comprehensive plan for future traffic improvements necessary to maintain an adequate level of service and safety along this corridor. Please note that this is just a study, and no improvements proposed by this study are currently planned at this time. This study will guide the Yavapai County Public Works Department in planning future traffic improvements projects. We need your input to help us develop this traffic study! The input we have been receiving is being used to support the outcomes of this study.
The design team has recently completed the initial traffic study and have developed a number of alternatives for improving traffic and safety. To learn more about the traffic study, potential alternatives and provide valuable feedback to help our team finalize this study, we invite you to attend an upcoming community meeting on Tuesday, April 28. This meeting is an open house format with no formal presentation, feel free to join us anytime.
Williamson Valley Road is a key corridor in Yavapai County, connecting major routes like Iron Springs Road, Pioneer Parkway and Outer Loop Road. It serves as the only parallel alternative to State Route 89 from Prescott to I-40, making it essential for the connectivity and accessibility of rural communities in the Williamson Valley area.
